Barbara L. Lanier

Barbara is an attorney who practices in the areas of estate planning and probate and has served on the board of directors for the Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Trust and Probate Section for over 15 years. She is a past president of Berkeley West Edge Opera’s board of directors and is the former president of Soroptimist International of El Cerrito. Growing up in North Dakota, Barbara developed a love of singing and had numerous leading roles in stage productions, musicals and operas. Since moving to Berkeley in 1973, Barbara has appeared as a frequent soloist with various Bay Area choruses and has performed in six operas. Most importantly, she is the mother of three daughters, the proud grandmother of six, and the wife of author and poet John Wilson! Barbara and John traveled with PINCC to Uganda and Kenya in the fall of 2011.
