Deborah Shefler
Deborah recently retired after 37 years practicing law. For the last 20 years she litigated disputes for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, most recently specializing in rate cases before the California Public Utilities Commission. She has also been in private practice and worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Civil Rights Division and in the San Francisco U.S. Attorney's Office. She has been a member of the PINCC Board for several years, and currently serves as president. Deborah comes from Washington, D.C., where she attended George Washington University. She has been in the Bay Area since 1978. She lives with her husband Stephen in Oakland. Deborah has traveled with PINCC to India, Peru and El Salvador.
