On August 19, PINCC will head for Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to train 50 doctors and nurses in 6 communities to find and treat precancerous cervical disease. Our volunteer team of 12 will also be donating the equipment for treatment. Our Annual Walkathon is to raise the $20,000 needed for this life-saving campaign! The Walkathon will be held at Lake Merritt (the Pergola) on Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 10 am to 1 pm.
PINCC’s Cervical Cancer Challenge: How many women can you save? It only costs $15 to screen and treat one woman to prevent cervical cancer. Will you join us at the challenge rate of $15 a mile ($50 for a walk around the Lake)? How many friends can you get to sponsor your walk? Come alone, or create a team of friends, neighbors, work associates or church members. Teams will compete for Prizes: Most Money Raised, Biggest Team, and Most Miles Walked, by a Team and by an Individual.
